Auditions

Young Concert Artists is Colorado Springs' finest choice in youth orchestra programs. We help young musicians by providing instruction in orchestral performance, reinforcing skills attained in private instruction and school programs.   Concerts include complete symphonies by major composers and opportunities for solo and small ensemble performances.   Members must also participate in their school's ensemble program.

Students 22 and younger may audition.   Positions are available for all orchestral instruments.   Some financial aid is available.

A fee of $10 is required for all auditions.

Auditions consist of a scale, a solo of the candidate's choice and a brief sight reading exercise.
All auditions are held at Pulpit Rock Church, 301 Austin Bluffs Pkwy (Click here for directions) and are by appointment only.

Please download an Auditon Registration form by clicking one of these icons. Print the form, have it signed by your child's Instructor and School Teacher and mail it, along with the $10 fee, to YCA prior to the audition.
